The UK-based production company Substantial Films is working on a new comedy, Decrypted, dedicated to the creator of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto. However, the plot of the film is completely fictional and the main character finds himself in strange and mysterious situations.
About love and money
At the moment, the movie “Decrypted” is in production and little is known about it. As the director of the film, Tom Sand stated, the plot will not be based on really well-known events but will be more entertaining in nature. For example, in the film Satoshi Nakamoto, abducted by the NSA team, was tortured. But he did not reveal the secret of creating bitcoin and the information necessary to destroy cryptocurrencies around the world.
Also in the film, the theme of cryptocurrencies is intertwined with the theme of love. The director shows the story of a romantic relationship between Satoshi Nakamoto and his chosen one, who goes through a series of everyday problems.
It is already known that the main role will be played by Aki Kotabe. Sophia Miles, David Hoflin, Don Gilet and Kevin McNally will also take part in the film.
According to the producers, 70% of the tape has already been taken and stored in the bank. But the shooting had to be stopped due to the coronavirus. The crew members hope that they will be able to complete work in the near future and present the film by the end of the year.
It is noteworthy that the funds for shooting the picture were provided in cryptocurrency and for the first time, the film will appear on cryptographic video platforms.
“We wanted this film to become part of the crypto-revolution in the film industry. Therefore, we will release it for some video crypto platforms, ”said producer Phil Harris.
Subsequently, the film will be offered for sale to Netflix or Amazon Prime.
Interest in Satoshi Nakamoto only increases
More than one movie has been made about the creator of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto and dozens of books have been written. However, none of the authors could clearly answer who Satoshi Nakamoto is and where he is now. Earlier it became known that they may well be a British cryptographer with a doctorate in computer science. He was the first to create Hashcash, the verification system that the Bitcoin system uses. Satoshi Nakamoto was the first to contact him in 2008 after the blockchain launched.
In addition, it has been suggested that they might also be the Japanese mathematician Shinichi Mochizuki. This theory was put forward by the American sociologist, philosopher and discoverer in the field of information technology Ted Nelson. As proof of his assumption, Nelson draws a parallel between the documentation of Bitcoin and the mathematical achievements of Mochizuki.
Nelson draws attention to the fact that Nakamoto did not advertise his work in traditional scientific fields, but used the Internet. In the same way in 2012, Mochizuki published a paper of great importance regarding a mathematical theory called the ABC hypothesis.
At least five more specialists claimed the role of Satoshi Nakamoto, but so far it has not been possible to establish the identity of the mysterious creator of bitcoin.
